Remy Lebeau (TeamB) napsal(a): The License Manager that is provided with RADStudio offers the option to enter a serial number as well. Thanks for the response, but I don't need to enter a serial number. When I run the License Manager, there already is my serial numberincluded in the 'Unregistered serial numbers' tree node. What I needis to.register. my serial number. Right click on the serial number inthe License Manager opens up the Registration Wizard which does notallow me to obtain the activation file by email. They simply can't assume that everyone's development machine has internet connection to begin with. This is just ridiculous. You don't have to have the development machine connected to theinternet. You can go to any machine in the world and fill out the page here:and the proper files will be emailed to you.You can then follow the instructions in the email on the non-connectedto the internet machine.-Nick HodgesDelphi Product Manager - CodeGearPaul Scott05.11.07 8:11. There are many things on that site that seem like youmust know the address rather than finding a link.
Eg, edit youraccount settings? Increase your registration limit? Register yoursoftware?Maybe these do in fact have links somewhere, but I sure can't findthem.-Craig Stuntz TeamB05.11.07 7:35. Yes, but I'm /100%/ certain that David will complain about that.;-)You're correct - but my complaint is with 'software activation' as a whole.Anything that you folks do to make it MORE difficult for me to use theproduct is something that you'd better make DARNED sure has beneficialoffsets. There are several products that I use, on a fairly regularbasis, where I haven't upgraded because of the difficulty that thevendor imposes with software activation (Adobe comes to mindimmediately).
I have bought/paid for the product, don't use it onanyone's machine but my own, but I have to pay the price for YOURperceived problems with 'pirates'.And since you seem content to make a jibe at me , any progress onposting that escrow policy regarding software activation???David Erbas-WhiteNick Hodges (CodeGear)05.11.07 9:09. Sometimes it's in dollars, sometimes ininconvenience, but it's all a part of cost.bobDNick Hodges (CodeGear)05.11.07 10:02.

There is one problem though - I can't seem to find a way how to obtain a registration code that the web page asks for. From what I have read on that page, the registration code should be mentioned somewhere in the registration wizard window, but either I'm blind or there is not one.
The registration wizard for previous IDE versions (D7, D2005, BDS2006) used to show the registration code in there, but it's not the case with RAD Studio 2007. Could you please advise me how do I obtain one?I hope you can see this message as I had a hard drive crash yesterday and am accessing the newsgroup via web interface (HDD has a couple of bad blocks but it's still spinning, so I reinstalled the Windows and waiting for a new one to arrive.:-)Best regards,IvoNick Hodges (CodeGear)06.11.07 10:10. 'Nick Hodges (CodeGear)' wrote:Ivo Bauer wrote: I can't seem to find a way how to obtain a registration code that the web page asks forIt's the one that came with your product: your registration key.Nick, I have the impression that we are talking aboutdifferent things.
Please let me recap my intentions:The product registration web page asks me to supply twothings: (i) serial number, and (ii) registration code. Theserial number is what came with my product (actually I'm onStudio type SA and received unserialized media kit for theRAD Studio upon my request, hence I'm using serial numberI obtained through CodeGear maintenance portal). The registration code, on the other hand, is the second thingI need to specify on the product registration web page, butI don't know how to determine what it actually is. As I said, it used to be mentioned in the earlier versions of product registration wizard, but it's, for a reason unknown to me, hidden in the RAD Studio 2007 registration wizard. So, please let me repeat my question: Where do I obtain the registration code for my RAD Studio 2007? In the earlier versions, it used to be generated randomly - on each installation it had a different value - AFAICS.Thank you very much in advance!IvoIvo Bauer06.11.07 12:25.
I have been watching this tread since I too, work on a computer that isnot connected to the internet. My work is with classified data, that iswhy the CPU cannot be online.I am still working with the support folks to register my software. Thefirst activation file they sent me did not work, so it's on to round two.Bob WhitakerIvo Bauer wrote: Hi, The new registration wizard in RAD Studio 2007 offers only two registration options so far. I am allowed only to either register online or import an activation (license) file. I don't want to register online. How do I obtain an activation file in order to register my copy of RAD Studio 2007?
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!Ivo Bauer11.11.07 12:24. Nick Hodges (CodeGear) napsal(a): Send me your key. We should be able to create a reg file for you.I've just sent my serial number via email over to you. Kindly waitingfor an activation file. One more thing: Although I greatly appreciate your personalinvolvement in this case, for the future I would rather be able torequest an activation file directly via registration wizard. From yourresponse I get an impression that this feature is no longer availablein the registration wizard, which is rather unfortunate.:-(Thanks!-Ivo BauerIvo Bauer22.11.07 15:01.
